Adriana Méndez
Over the past seven years, I have been involved in real estate. I am the developer of the Alborada horizontal condominium located at kilometer 7.5 on the road to Dolores. During the last seven years, I have renovated, rented, and sold five houses in the center of San Miguel. To facilitate this, I established an investment fund.
I am a broker at Vive en San Miguel, a real estate agency founded in the latter half of 2022. I am privileged to work with a group of knowledgeable real estate agents who understand the intricacies of this wonderful city.
I love San Miguel, which is why I decided to live here. I appreciate the artistic and gastronomic offerings, as well as the sunsets and the positive energy of its residents. The city’s bicultural community undoubtedly enriches our quality of life.
As a columnist for the newspaper Atención, I enjoy writing about the daily life of the city. Additionally, I maintain a blog on my website: Vive en San Miguel Blog.
My experience extends to construction and interior design, as well as handling government paperwork and real estate brokerage. I also have expertise in vacation rentals through digital platforms.
I was born and raised in Mexico City. I initially studied international relations at the Universidad Iberoamericana and later changed my career path to focus on psychology. I completed a master’s degree in Systemic Family Therapy at the ILEF (CDMX) and have dedicated several decades of my life to individual, couples, and family psychotherapy. I have also worked as a master teacher and coordinator of workshops and therapeutic groups.
In the clinical field, I have worked in various settings:
- Government Institutions: I contributed to mental health services within government agencies. Specifically, I served as the subdirector at the Comprehensive Mental Health Center (CISAME). Our team aimed to provide holistic care and support to individuals dealing with mental health challenges.
- Civil Associations: I collaborated with civil organizations focused on mental health advocacy and support. One notable project involved working closely with families of individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia. Together, we explored strategies to enhance their well-being and coping mechanisms.
- Private Practice: In my private practice, I offered psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families. My approach was rooted in systemic family therapy, which emphasizes understanding and addressing relational dynamics within the family unit.
- Educational Roles: Beyond clinical work, I also engaged in educational roles. As a master teacher, I facilitated workshops and coordinated therapeutic groups. These sessions provided a safe space for participants to explore their emotions, relationships, and personal growth.
My journey has been multifaceted, spanning psychology, mental health, and community engagement. Each experience has enriched my understanding of human behavior and resilience. If you have any further questions or would like to explore a specific aspect, feel free to ask!
